On September 17, Pendry baltimore, BLIFTD ART STVDIOS, DJ Tanz, SHORT KUTS and The Sound GardenRecord Shop come together to present the inaugural LIFTD—a new event series where art moves beyond the walls and into story, sound, taste, and shared experience.

The first LIFTD features E.L. Briscoe, a Baltimore-based artist and BLIFTD Resident Artist whose artwork explores the dualities of American American life, drawing on childhood memory, history, and the influence of popular media to reconsider the messages that shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.

At the event, Briscoe’s art becomes the inspiration for a multisensory experience across the 15,000 sq ft of BLIFTD ART STVDIOS.

LIFTD is designed to be experienced through more than sight and sound, The Pendry brings taste to the evening with passed bites and a complimentary cocktail inspired by the art of E.L. Briscoe, included with every ticket.

Dr. LaMarr Darnell Shields, FOUNDER/EXECUTIVE PRODUCER of The Short Kuts Show Narrative Therapy Initiative & Live Storytelling Series, bring another dimension to the art through live storytelling and spoken word.

Baltimore-based DJ Tanz and the award winning Sound Garden Record Store carry the evening forward with music that compliments E.L. Briscoe’s art.

Together, The Pendry, BLIFTD, DJ Tanz, SHORT KUTS and The Sound Garden Record Store bring their respective creative worlds into one room—art, hospitality, music, and Baltimore culture—to create an evening that invites you to experience an artist from more than one point of view.

Come for the art. Stay for the stories, sounds, tastes, and people you encounter along the way.
